Irene is the Head of Product at CitizenLab, a Belgium-based start-up building civic participatory software to make democracy more participatory, responsive and inclusive. Before that she was the Director of Research at DoSomething.org, a tech forward non profit with over 3 million members in the US focused on mobilizing young people for social change at scale. In her free time, she explores ideas connected to media, digital infrastructure, and civics, having co-founded a voting rights initiative called Dos Millones de Votos, and an online youth mentoring initiative focused on reducing information asymmetries called Entre4Paredes. She’s been a guest lecturer at The New School and she was a Fulbright scholar from 2012 to 2014.
