Enrique Bravo-Escobar is a Senior Program Officer in the Global team at the National Endowment for Democracy (NED), leading the team’s work on democratic innovation, technology and democracy, and the integrity of the information space. Previously, he spent five years in the Latin America and the Caribbean team at NED managing portfolios in the region’s Southern Cone. Before joining the Endowment, Enrique was the Senior Advisor for Policy Planning at the Mexican Embassy in the United States. Prior to that, he was a Latin America analyst of the Eurasia Group, a DC-based political risk consulting firm. Earlier he worked as an advisor to the Immigration Commissioner in Mexico’s Ministry of the Interior. He has participated and coordinated teams in several International Electoral Observation Missions with the Organization of American States and The Carter Center. Enrique holds a BA in International Relations from ITAM, In Mexico City, an M.A. and a Ph.D. in Government from Georgetown University.
