Caroline Gaita is the Executive Director at Mzalendo Trust – a Kenyan Parliamentary Monitoring Organisation that promotes open, inclusive and accountable Parliaments in Kenya and across Africa. Through civic technology, Mzalendo Trust enhances accountability and encourages public participation in legislative processes. Caroline is a strategic communication and governance practitioner with over 18 years’ experience working with both State and non-State entities. She currently chairs the Africa Parliamentary Monitoring Organisations Network (APMON), the co-convener of Civil Society Parliamentary Engagement Network (CSPEN) and the lead convener for Kenya civil society organizations under the Open Government Partnership Initiative.
