Although this session focuses on the experiences of those who identify as women, all TICTeC delegates are welcome to come and listen, learn and participate thoughtfully. Women are encouraged to share their own experience and insights on the challenges and opportunities in Civic Tech.
What challenges do women face? What are ways to overcome these challenges? What are our solutions in the short and long run? Join a campfire-styled discussion and inquire into these questions in a safe environment with anonymity assured.
The session will result in a manifesto, listing the identified challenges, key concerns and solutions in a call for action, adding to the body of research and similar workshops already conducted to help build the Open Heroines Guide.
The Civic Tech conference that plugs a gap in debate, networking and research between practitioners, commentators, academics and funders of civic technology.
