Citizens’ Voice is a global programme of RNW Media, an international NGO which uses digital platforms to unleash young people’s potential for social change in countries where civic space is restricted.
Two million young people from Yemen, Libya, Egypt, DRC, Burundi, Mali and China engage in Citizens' Voice online communities where they share diverse viewpoints in a safe, alternative civic space. Young people from across political, ethnic and religious divides discuss what is important to them, collectively envision the future, and can be connected to influential actors.
Miep presents results from an online survey of young people in Burundi, DRC, Libya, Yemen and China that provided a wealth of insights into the impact the platforms have on their users and how their attitudes, opinions and perspectives were affected.
The Civic Tech conference that plugs a gap in debate, networking and research between practitioners, commentators, academics and funders of civic technology.
