Cyber Security Practitioner
I graduated from Lancaster University—one of only a handful Academic Centres of Excellence in Cyber Security Research in the UK—with an MSc in Cyber Security in 2018. Since then I have redeveloped my employer's suite of GCHQ-certified training modules and am currently writing regular articles covering recent threats and cyber security advice for their blog.
I also do articles, projects and reviews on my personal Web site, attend cyber security events and competitions with the Lancaster University Ethical Hacking Club (LUHack) and am a contributor to the Technology, Terrorism, and Armed Conflict in the 21st Century project. I am also active in technology activism as a member of the Free Software Foundation, Open Rights Group and Code for Lancaster.
I'm also an ordained minister of the Universal Life Church, just in case.
TICTeC supports the mission of the non-profit mySociety by bringing together practitioners, commentators, academics and funders to debate, network, and share research and knowledge in the civic tech field.
