mySociety, uniquely among Civic Tech NGOs, employs a team of researchers — including a Research Developer. This gives us a unique feedback loop whereby the research findings inform the technology, and vice versa.
As mySociety continues its commitment to examining the impact of its own technology and that of others in the sector, Dr Rumbul gives a rundown of all that’s been achieved in the last twelve months.
From an investigation into Civic Tech usage at municipal level in five US cities, to subjects closer to their home in the UK — such as the impact of Brexit on Freedom of Information requests sent through their own WhatDoTheyKnow.com website — mySociety’s Research Department has been very busy.
Please see your conference pack for further details of all mySociety’s research activity, or check the Research section of our website.
